Upon arriving at Fulong we wandered around until we found some signage that directed us to the beach.

We found the entrance to Fulong Beach and that’s when we realised our mistake, finally. The fee that was being asked for was nominal (sorry, I forget exactly how much). Insult to injury: on top of being asked to pay an entrance fee, we were told that we could only walk on the beach. There was no swimming allowed this day because a typhoon was coming.
We sat and ate some snacks and pondered our options. We decided that we’d come far enough, surely there was a public sliver of beach where we could sneak into the water. We made our way back to this signage and followed it all the way to Fulong Beach Park.
